Where to Stay in Broken Bow With Kids: 2026 Family Guide

Families ask us where to stay in Broken Bow. What they are really asking is smaller and more practical than that: where will the kids sleep, what happens when it rains, and how far is the car from the front door.

Broken Bow answers the first part easily. There are cabins everywhere along US-259, most of them handsome, most of them photographed in the same golden light. The part that decides your week is which house you are standing in on the third afternoon, when the lake was cold, the youngest skipped a nap, and nobody wants to drive anywhere.

What follows is the short version. Four cabins at Three Creeks Reserve, what each one is actually for, and how to tell which one belongs to your group. The rest of the collection is on our cabins for rent page.

What Every Cabin Here Shares

Three Creeks is a gated community on US-259, about ten minutes from Beavers Bend State Park and a few minutes from the Hochatown attractions most families drive in for. Whichever cabin you take, you take the same campus with it, and that is the part people underestimate until the weather turns.

A resort pool with tanning ledges, in-water loungers, and a volleyball net. A splash fountain of stone bubblers that catch small children off guard. A playground, a catch and release fishing pond, pickleball and basketball courts, walking trails through the pines, and a clubhouse with a fireplace, showers, and a pool table. Outside, ping pong under cover, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and oversized Jenga and Connect-4 on the green belt. Gregory’s Gnome House puffs smoke on the hour, and George the Yeti gets photographed more than most relatives. The full list is on our amenities page.

The gate matters too, quietly. Kids ride ahead to the playground, and parents let them.

When the Whole Family Comes at Once

Three generations traveling together, or two families splitting a week and a third arriving for the weekend. Three Creeks Lodge: more than 2,375 square feet, five bedrooms, four bathrooms, eighteen guests.

Three Creeks Lodge absorbs a crowd rather than merely holding one. Two king master suites downstairs with their own baths, a bunk room of four queens, and upstairs another king and a second bunk room of two queens, so the cousins sleep together and the adults do not. The game and media room carries a karaoke setup, ping pong, a pool table, and the board games that rescue an evening.

Outside there is a commercial grade playscape, cornhole, Connect 4, and lawn darts, and once the house finally goes quiet, a private hot tub, a sauna, and a back porch with a fireplace. The kitchen is built for the reality of feeding fourteen people breakfast: top of the line appliances, quartz counters, a stocked pantry. It was filmed for the Emmy winning series Staycation, and it is the first cabin here to go for holiday weeks.

It suits eighteen who want one roof and no hotel block.

When the Youngest Still Naps

The trip with a toddler, or with grandparents, or with both, which is the same trip twice over. Eleven:Eleven: four bedrooms, four bathrooms, twelve guests, every room on a single level.

Stairs are the quiet hazard of a family cabin, and Eleven:Eleven removes them entirely. Three of the four bedrooms are king suites with private baths, enough that two families share a house without sharing a bathroom, and the bunkroom takes two queens and two twins. The game room has shuffleboard and an arcade cabinet, the hot tub sits in its own cabana, and the fire pit and covered patio handle the evenings. The resort pool is directly across the street, close enough to watch the older ones walk over. No pets in this one.

It suits twelve who want the whole house on one floor and the pool in view.

When Nobody Naps Anymore

The age when the kids disappear for an hour at a time and come back hungry. Deerly Loved: three bedrooms, twelve guests, about five minutes from Beavers Bend, closer than most of the collection.

Deerly Loved gives the teenagers a floor of their own. Two king suites with private bathrooms sit on the main level, and the upstairs bunk room holds four queen beds, which is six or eight kids with the door closed. The game room has two wall mounted arcade games and a foosball table, and that is where they will be. Downstairs there is a gourmet kitchen, an indoor fireplace, and a covered patio with a hot tub and a fire pit facing the trees, which is where you will be. The pool and the clubhouse are a short walk away.

It suits twelve who want the generations comfortably out of each other’s way.

When One Family Is the Whole Group

The trip that does not need five bedrooms. Up Deer Creek: two bedrooms, two and a half baths, eight guests, and the best position on the property for a family with young children.

The master at Up Deer Creek has a king and an ensuite, and the upstairs bunk room holds four twin bunks that sleep eight on their own, with a queen pull-out downstairs for whoever decides to stay. There is a game room loft under a picture window, a console and board games, a hot tub, a fire pit, and a back porch built for long evenings. What sets it apart is the walk: the pool, the playground, the courts, and the clubhouse are all close enough to reach on foot, so the middle of the day takes care of itself and the car stays where you left it.

It suits eight who want the amenities at the end of a footpath rather than a drive.

If none of the four is the right shape, the collection runs from one to five bedrooms and filters by fenced pools, cinema rooms, pool tables, game consoles, and dog friendly cabins. Send us your dates and your group and we will match you ourselves.

One Morning Each

The cabin is where the week actually happens, and it is not the whole of it. Here are four outings worth building a morning around, all of them close, all of them better early.

  • Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow. Paved trails a stroller can manage, calm stretches of the Mountain Fork River, and the Forest Heritage Center for the hour when the heat wins. Lots at the popular trailheads fill by mid-morning on peak weekends.
  • Hochatown Rescue Center and Petting Zoo, Hochatown. A rescued menagerie the kids can feed by hand, and the most reliable ninety minutes on the itinerary for anyone under six.
  • Beavers Bend Marina, Broken Bow Lake. Pontoons and jet skis on 14,000 acres of some of the clearest water in Oklahoma. Reserve ahead in summer, and be on the water before the wind picks up.
  • Beaver’s Bend Mining Company, Hochatown. A gem and fossil sluice and a dinosaur mini golf course, which together end up in every family photo album ever taken here.

Tell Us Your Group

Broken Bow rewards the families who choose the house first and the itinerary second. A cabin that fits the ages you are traveling with, a pool and a playground inside the gate, and one drive a day instead of four.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should we stay in Broken Bow with kids?

Choose the cabin before the neighborhood. A gated community with a pool, a splash fountain, a playground, courts, and a clubhouse inside the gate does more for a week with children than being a few minutes closer to any one attraction.

Which cabin is best for a large family group?

Three Creeks Lodge. Eighteen guests across five bedrooms and four bathrooms, with two bunk rooms, a karaoke game room, a playscape, a hot tub, and a sauna.

Which cabin works best with toddlers?

Eleven:Eleven, single level throughout, with three king suites, a bunkroom, and the resort pool across the street. Up Deer Creek is the smaller option, and it sits within walking distance of the playground.

Do the cabins have bunk rooms?

Yes. Three Creeks Lodge has two, one of four queens and one of two queens. Deerly Loved and Lazy River Retreat each have a bunk room of four queens. Up Deer Creek has four twin bunks sleeping up to eight, and Eleven:Eleven has two queens and two twins.

Are the cabins dog friendly?

Some in the collection are, and dog friendly is a filter on the cabins for rent page. None of the four above allows pets, so filter by dates and pet policy together if the dog is coming.

How far is the property from Beavers Bend State Park?

About ten minutes for most of the collection, and roughly five from Deerly Loved. The Hochatown attractions and restaurants are a short drive north on US-259.

How many days should we plan?

Four is the sweet spot for a first trip: an arrival day, a park day, a lake day, and a Hochatown day. Families who intend to spend most of the week at the cabin and the pool stretch it to five or six without running out of things to do.
